God’s Unfathomable Love

For thy mercy is great unto the heavens, and thy truth unto the clouds.

Psalms 57:10

God’s Love is Greater than anything we can imagine in our hearts! When we look out and reflect on just the past few years, we can’t, but wonder will the pandemic ever end, the loss of life, the suffering, the Earthquakes, the recent tornadoes that swept through Kentucky and other cities, people hurting, struggling and wounded physically and mentally. Some ask the question, does God Love us?

If we stop and look at how things seem rough in our own lives and families, do we see God has covered us and helped us through it all? Can we say that God’s Steadfast Love is Great like David? To further understand, he said even unto the Heavens, meaning as far as the eye can see, He speaks to the faithfulness of God also unto the clouds.

David was on the run from Saul during this time. His circumstance was not ideal, living in caves always moving, on the defense from the very man he was faithful to and helped. I would imagine the stress was great, and life was hard during that time. We experience events that are not ideal in our lives and deal with the stress and pressures of daily living, but we have to understand just as David that God’s love is steadfast and he is faithful. He sees what is going on, and he will give us strength and everything we need as we go through this life. Paul understood this and wanted everyone to experience the steadfast love of God.

Paul set the example when he prayed for the people at Ephesus. In Ephesians 3: 14-21, he gives us a glimpse into God’s love for us. He speaks to being rooted and grounded in love. His prayer is that the people know the Love of God. When we understand that God’s love is enough, it will sustain, strengthen, direct and keep us. Then we can walk in the victory found in him. Verse 20, summarizes..” Now unto him, that is able to do exceedingly above all that we or think, according to the power that worketh in us.
